Systemic diseases are a serious threat to human health. The incidence of lung cancer is the highest among all types of cancer. Pulmonary infectious diseases are one of the most common clinical diseases. Chronic airway diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma have been included. China’s chronic disease sequences, various severe diseases involving respiratory failure are progressing rapidly, and standardized care involving airway management needs to be strengthened. The development of respiratory medicine in our city is relatively lagging. Only five hospitals in Luliang City have independent departments of respiratory medicine, and the construction of severe wards is even weaker. Pulmonary function, bronchoscopy, and blood gas analysis are routinely performed in respiratory medicine routines. High-end diagnosis and treatment methods such as lung ultrasound, blood purification, and ECMO are more difficult to carry out, which seriously restricts the development of respiratory medicine in the city. This meeting has great and far-reaching significance for promoting the construction and development of respiratory and critical illness disciplines in our province, especially Luliang City.
